Delivering Boxes Full of Happiness

Since 2008

Family founded in Adelaide and proudly Australian owned, we have spent almost twenty years packing party joy into boxes for celebrations right across the country.

Discount Party Supplies started in 2008 from the lounge room of founders Kirsty and James, when Kirsty set out to earn around fifty dollars a week while raising their four children.

The business began on eBay, selling party supplies sourced from Australia and overseas, until Kirsty and James built their own website, which went on to become the main way customers shop. It grew faster than anyone expected, and within a couple of years stock had taken over most of the house.

From there, the focus has always been on one thing: helping Australians celebrate life's special moments, one box at a time.

A story of steady growth

In 2010 the business moved out of the house and into premises in Flagstaff Hill, followed by a warehouse in Melrose Park in 2012. By 2013 website sales had overtaken eBay, a milestone that opened up the next phase of growth. In 2018 operations moved into the company's own warehouse in Reynella.

When COVID-19 hit in 2020, the business adapted quickly and recovered strongly and the years that followed saw the business dispatch more than two million items in 2021 alone. In 2022 a major expansion tripled the Reynella warehouse, and today the site dispatches an order roughly every 30 seconds.
